Flood gates
Main flow, side flow, bi flow, lakes, ponds, reservoirs. Gates open or closed, sometimes just a little. Consequences upstream, a whole area is flooded, better open the gates! Down stream flooded. The top most dam has fractures in structurally important components. Will it hold or will the whole system collapse.
