Wide legged stance
Wide legged stance, facing the wind, the world. Exhale of readiness. Taking a bite of the wind, chewing loudly and defiantly.
It has begun. The first step has been taken, the waiting is over. I can't see yet whereto, but we're moving. Taxi. Decisions have been made. Behind me, an invisible hand pushes me forward. But I control the hand. I'm looking back at the choices I've made, but they don't matter. What matter is here, what's coming.
I feel blind and deaf, but at the same time calm and confident. It's new, but feels safe, while still uncertain.
